Construction of Combined Oil Refining Unit Euro+ is going on at Moscow Oil Refinery

More than 80% of works has been performed at the construction site of the modern Combined Oil Refining Unit Euro+. Euro+ is one of the key projects of the second stage of the complex upgrading of Moscow Oil Refinery which is being carried out by Gazprom Neft since 2011. Euro+ will allow to take out of operation five units of the previous generation and to increase production of Euro-5 fuel. Project investments are 98 billion rubles.
As part of the construction, the largest and longest running activities have been completed within the frames of construction, 38,200 m3 of reinforced concrete structures have been installed. 4.4 thousand tons of pipeline parts and assemblies have been manufactured, more than 19 thousand tons of metal structures have been erected and more than 4 thousand tons of process pipelines have been installed. More than 400 units of equipment have been installed to the foundations and the metal structures. The works are on schedule. The construction will be completed in the fall of 2018. Through Euro+ Moscow Refinery will improve energy efficiency indicators, increase the volume and oil processing yield, increase the yield of light petroleum products, while significantly reducing the environmental impact.

The plant systematically gets rid of outmode production facilities and actively implements modern industrial complexes. Since 2011 Gazprom Neft has been carrying out a program for the comprehensive modification and upgrade of Moscow Refinery with a total value of more than 250 billion rubles. Thanks to the implemented measures, the plant reduced the environmental impact of production by 50%, as well as reduced the flow of pollutants into the atmosphere by 36%. The environmental impact will be reduced by another 50% within the second stage of upgrade by 2020.
